Hey everyone! Night here! finally back from the dead/vactions and all that other non active stuff..anyway I wanna give a BIG thanks to ani () for posting this for me. Really I can't think her enough.but anyway i'm here to clear up a few things!

Look, I know, I know you all want to be a part of the major storyline but... well, to be honest, Stardog is a HUGE plot; and there is so many things that still haven't been revealed to the public eye yet. Too many people really don't know the story all that well yet and we really don't want people going around and creating their own little plotline to the main plot. Because then it would mess up the story before it even started. .__.' Do not worry, we will reveal the storyline sooner or later but if you did make a character, s/he will not take part in the main storyline. We apologize for this in advance, however you are still allow to make fan related characters! ^__^

Also there are some of you out there who DO have real charaters...and you know who you are!!!!! >:E dont try to hide from me!!!......umm..anyway!

Guidelines for making your own Fan-Related Characters~~~~~~~~~~~

So. You wanna make your own fan-related characters eh? Shweet! 8D But unfornately, there is a guideline you have to follow if you want to make one. Don’t worry though! It’s really not that hard. XD Just carefully read the following rules and NOTE NIGHT ( ) IF YOUR NEW CHARACTER’S OKAY BY HER. Stardogs ARE after all her creation and she would like to keep record of all fan-related characters. How would you like it if you made up brand new specie and someone created one without you knowing? Yeah. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be afraid of Night! Night doesn’t bite... much. >_>''

CURRENTLY, Night is writing up explanation and descriptions for what we call 'shrines' and areas that Stardogs are from. This way we can have a wide varies of Stardogs, either coming from the west, or the north, etc. and it will give you more choices. It's not done yet, but just be patient, it will be soon.

BASIC INFO STUFF

alive/good stardogs:

they are basicly normal dogs when it comes right down to it, the only thing that makes them different from normal dogs is the abilty to talk (they are very inteligent....well...'cept for gus, and his son >< ) and they also have a star marking on their foreheads, each marking is different on each stardog. (ex: stara has a perfect 5 pointed star, but she is the only stardog that has one) there can be some exceptions to the 'star' rule, gus for ex. has a diamond, and another character, eddie, has a heart (but those are very specail stardogs, being that eddie and gus were real dogs..who sadly passed away.. )..so you can come up with your own 'star' if you like, or I can create one for you :3
these stardogs also have higer forms, sorta like a 'spirit/soul' form which they can transform into at will. These forms are usually very large, about the size of a horse, usually have wings of some kind, can have various markings, patterns, designs on their body, really just about anything when you look at it that way. Once again these types of characters are very costumizable

~*Lifespan- Stardogs are very much like humans; aside from talking in English, they also have a normal lifespan as of a human! So yeah, none of that x7 kind of crap because Stardogs are just too cool for that. >>'

~*Wings- OKAY. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT SO READ THIS CAREFULLY. You might not like this but... LISTEN TO ME ANYWAY. X3

In this unique world of Stardogs... EVERY Stardogs MUST have FEATHERED WINGS. This is NO exception.

The feathered wings can be different sizes, colors and any ways in such; your choice! BUT!! They CAN NOT have ‘butterfly’ wings or ‘dragon’ wings or ‘bat’ wings or anything like that! Now that is reserved only for SPECIAL PRIVILIAGES that Night gives out to rare people.

However. This MIGHT change in the future but for now, just give your Stardog feathered wings, kay? Simple.

OH. While we’re still on the topic of wings...

WINGS CAN NOT BE GOLD OR SOLID BLACK. They are very special colors and are only reserved for VERY special characters. (Or in other words, they have major symbolism/contribution to the whole Stardog plotline and if we let people just take that, it won’t be very important now would it?)

~*Colors- OMEFFINGAWD, PEOPLE. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEASE BE REASONABLE WHEN COLORING YOUR STARDOG! Don’t try to hard and give your Stardog OUTRAGEOUS colors because it’ll just make you look like a fool rather then look cool.

One thing to keep in mind; different Stardogs comes from different regions have different markings or color. But don’t worry too much about that, that’ll be coming later along with the shrines.

~*Eyes- Glee! Eyes are always fun to color right? But there is ONE IMPORTANT thing you have to keep in mind when coloring your Stardog’s eyes... NO, I repeat, NO STARDOGS CAN HAVE YELLOW EYES. Absolutely none. Zip; no buts or what ifs. No Stardogs can have yellow eyes, but other colors are okay as long you’re being reasonable.

Reason for this: It’s ONLY reserved for Evil Oosamaryuu! And he’s like... the badass villain in the Stardog world and he’s special. 8D Believe me, you will not see any Stardogs with yellow eyes besides Evil Oosamaryuu, so don’t even try.

~*Star Marking- This should be the most fun in creating your Stardog. ^__^

EVERY STARDOG HAVE THEIR OWN STAR MARKING.

Meaning, that every Stardog has some sort of a star marking on their foreheads and EACH Stardog has DIFFERENT star markings. (There may be cases where two looks similair) So GET wild and original and go make your own!

Worried that you might have the same marking as somebody else? It’s quite simple... NOTE NIGHT. Don't worry; she'll be MORE then happy to help you out! But you should note her anyway when making your star; just to be sure, okay? It’s the smart thing to do. ;D

Heeeeey!! Gus has a diamond shaped marking and Eddie has heart shaped!

Now, now, don't fret. You see, Gus and Eddie were actually real dogs in real life, and they really did have those kinds of markings. Sadly... both dogs passed away so to hold their memories, the owners put the markings on their Stardog that was named after them. Not to mention that Gus and Eddie are very special characters in Stardogs too and they get to have special privileges. Like I said before; Night gives them out on RARE cases but... I wouldn't try asking/begging/groveling because it just won't work. xD

~*Other markings- Well, there isn't much to strict here except that you just use common sense and be reasonable. But if you wanna do something really pretty and have such amazing details, you should reeeeeeally save that for your Stardog's soul forms. So my advice is, make your Stardog simple, some creative stuff here or there but not much. So when you make the soul forms, that’s when you can really go all out! 8D

~*Uhm... Soul/Spirit Forms?- ... *sweatsdrop* >_>'' Okay, you see, Stardogs have a second form, 'spirit' forms; usually much stronger and looks much prettier/cooler looking then the original form!

~*Abilities- Well, most Stardogs have one or two abilities that sets them different from each other. But you shouldn't really go overboard about them. Alright? They are just fan-related characters and will not be taking part in the major Stardog plot so don't be so almighty about it.

MORE BASIC INFO STUFF

dead/evil stardogs

also go by the name 'shadow stardogs' being that they are usually black or some dark color and are very shadow like! A shadow stardog is created when the stardog dies, and then oosamaryuu comes along (oh boy! 8D ) works some evil magic and their soul becomes trapped in darkness and evil stuff and they 'come back to life' as these creatures. Also it doesn't even have to be oosamaryuu! if your character is even killed by a shadow stardog they can become a shadow stardog themselves! Freya is an example of one of these, along with a many many others. (oosamaryuu's kinda on a killing spree, so there are alot of these running around). Shadow stardogs can come in various shapes and sizes. Markings can be elaborte or very simple, once again depending on what you want. if you look in my gallery I have alot of examples. they can be HUGE..or very small. they can have wings! (not gold of course..) they could have 3 eyes! or 1! they have have 1 tail, or 50!...ok 50 might be pushing it...>_> but the point that i'm getting at is you can have just about anything! just not yellow eyes!
hmm what else...what else...
actaully I DO need more shadow stardogs and if you happen to make one I might consider makeing it into an extra in stardogs! (hey now..there are alot of shadow stardogs running around! I need some more damn it!)
